ESIC SSO Prelims Exam Pattern

  1. The ESIC SSO Phase-I is a qualifying examination.
  2. Each wrong answer will result in a 0.25 point deduction.
  3. In Phase I, there will be multiple-choice questions.
  4. The exam is divided into three sections: English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.
  5. Each part has a time limit of 20 minutes.

ESIC SSO Mains Exam Pattern

  1. For final selection, the marks achieved in ESIC SSO Phase – II will be evaluated.
  2. Each incorrect response will result in a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark allocated to that question.

ESIC SSO Phase III


(a) Computer Skill Test (CST) – 50 Marks (30 Minutes) Comprised of three parts: –

I) Preparation of two PowerPoint slides – ten points
(ii) MS Word Typing with Formatting - 20 Marks
(iii) MS Excel Table Preparation using Formulae – 20 Marks


(b) Descriptive Paper – English Language (Letter Writing & Essay)- There will be two 50-point questions to answer in 30 minutes. Only English will be used as a medium.

Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for both ESIC SSO Prelims & Mains Exam.

3- Is esic Central govt job?

ESIC job vacancies are not direct Government Jobs. Because, The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is a Statutory Body, an autonomous corporation, under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

3- What is MTS post in ESIC?

The candidates can check the ESIC MTS Salary and Job Profile post joining as a Multi Tasking Staff (MTS). The candidates who are successful in getting selected are required to perform a set of duties upon joining as a Multi Tasking Staff in ESIC.

4- Is ESIC job transferable?

His/Her services are liable to be transferred/posted in any of the office/institutions of ESIC in the region and he/she can seek/apply for transfer to the other state/region under Inter-Regional Transfer Page 3 Policy in vogue in ESIC only after completion of three or four years service in the region (state).
