- The Agniveers will get a lucrative salary package.
- After the completion of 4 years in service, the Agniveers will be paid a one-time ‘SevaNidhi’ package.
- Seva Nidhi will consist of their contribution plus accrued interest and a matching contribution from the government equal to the whole amount of their contribution plus interest.

- The one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package is to be paid to Agniveers upon completion of the engagement period of 4 years.
- The ‘Seva Nidhi’ will be exempted from Income Tax.
- There will be no dispensation to gratuity and pensionary benefits. The Agniveers will get a non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of Rs. 48 Lakh for the time duration of their engagement period in the Indian Armed Forces.

Agneepath Scheme Salary 2023: Post Retirement Benefits
- The Union Ministry of Education has decided to introduce a three-year special technical education course at the undergraduate level for Agniveers.
- Assam & Karnataka governments announced that those who will spend four years in the Agneepath Scheme will get priority in the recruitment process of the state police.
- The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways announced that the inclusion of Agniveers in six service branches, including the merchant navy, will be seen to ensure smooth accession.
- The union government promised to reserve 10 percent of posts in the Home and Defence ministries for ‘Agniveers.
- The Madhya Pradesh government has announced that after serving in the army, the state police will consider recruiting the Agniveers first.
- 10 percent of the jobs in the Indian Coast Guard will be reserved for Agniveers. The same applies to 16 state-owned companies in the Ministry of Defence.
- Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced that Agniveers will be given priority in jobs.

Agneepath Scheme: After 4 Years
At the conclusion of Agniveer's service time, a corpus amount will be given to them under the Seva Nidhi Package.
The cumulative corpus money would be 10.04 lakhs after four years of service.
After an equal contribution from the employee and the government, this sum will have accrued.
An interest charge over the corpus fund will also be included in the total amount to be transferred.

The accumulated corpus amount will be properly reimbursed with interest if the Agniveers leave the service before their 4-year duration.
The government's contribution to the package won't be taken into account in this scenario, though.
The "Seva Nidhi" amount will not be subject to income tax.
After retiring from their 4-year service, Agniveers will be entitled to a number of rewards.
The following list of advantages is provided as part of the Agneepath compensation package.
- Under the Seva Nidhi Scheme, they will receive a corpus amount of 10.04 lakhs.
- An Agniveer Skill Certificate reflecting their competency and learned skills will be given to them.
- A three-year technical programme for agniveers will be introduced by the Union Ministry of Education.
- Agniveers will be given a 10% service preference in the Indian Coast Guard and Ministry of Defense.
- Agniveers will be given preference while hiring State Police.
