IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2023

The parameters that decide IBPS Clerk Eligibility are listed below, candidates can check out the basic eligibility criteria for the upcoming IBPS Clerk Exam here.

  1. Nationality 
  2. Age Limit 
  3. Educational Qualification

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

  • The candidates must be a citizen of India or

  • Must be a subject from Nepal or

  • A subject from Bhutan or

  • A Tibetian who came over India before January 01, 1962, and has settled in India permanently.

  • The migrant candidates from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia Ethiopia, Vietnam, Burma who have settled in India Permanently can also apply for the IBPS Clerk 2022.
     


IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

The minimum age limit to apply for the IBPS Clerk is 20 years and the maximum is 28.  There are relaxations in the age limit which are as per the official notification. The details related to the age limit and relaxations are as follows:

Category Age relaxation
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 5 years
Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) 3 years
Persons With Disability 10 years
Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen The actual period of service rendered in the Defence forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) is subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years
Widows Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried 9 years
Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1-1-80 to 31-12-89 5 years
Persons affected by 1984 riots 5 years
Regular employees of the Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal retrenched from service (Applicable to Madhya Pradesh state only) 5 years

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

The candidates must have a minimum qualification of Graduation recognized by the Government to apply for the post of IBPS Clerk.  Further, the other details are as follows:

  1. Computer Literacy is a must. Candidates must possess operating as well as working knowledge of the Computer System.
  2. Proficiency in Local Language: Candidates should also be proficient in the language of the state to which they are applying.

 

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria: Domicile

The candidates have to be a permanent domicile of the state from where they are applying or should be well versed with the official language of the state. 

What is the minimum age limit of the IBPS Clerk 2022?

The minimum age limit of the IBPS Clerk 2022 is 21 years for the Unreserved candidates. 

What is the age relaxation for the candidate who belongs to the OBC category?

The age relaxation for the candidate who belongs to the OBC category is 3 years. 

Is it mandatory to have knowledge of the official language of the state?

Yes, is mandatory to have knowledge of the official language of the state.

Can a candidate who has passed Intermediate apply for the IBPS Clerk 2022?

No candidate who has passed Intermediate cannot apply for the IBPS Clerk 2022.

What is the educational qualification for IBPS Clerk 2023?

The educational qualification for IBPS Clerk 2023 is passing Graduation from a recognized university.
