The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) refers to uniform nomenclature of seven security forces in India under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Five are as follows.

Eligibility criteria for SI in Delhi Police & CAPF Exam
SSC CPO SI Eligibility Criteria:
Before the candidates apply for the different SSC CPO Posts, they should satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria including age, upper age limit and the educational qualification(s).
Nationality/ Citizenship: A candidate must be either:
1. a citizen of India, or
2. a subject of Nepal, or
3. a subject of Bhutan, or
4. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories 2 and 3 above shall be a person in
whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
5. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary will be admitted to the
examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility criteria is fulfilled and the certificate has been issued to him/her by the Government of India.
Age Limit:
1. Candidates should be between 20 to 25 years of age as on 01-01-2021 i.e. Candidates who are not born before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2001).

Candidates should note that the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination certificate or an equivalent certificate only will be accepted.

Ex-Servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Central Government in Group ‘C & D’ posts on regular basis after availing of the benefits of reservation given to Ex-Servicemen for their re-employment are not eligible for reservation in ESM category and fee concession.

The crucial date for the claim of SC/ST/ OBC/ EWS status will be the closing date for receipt of online applications, i.e., 6th July 2019.
Educational Qualification
Educational Qualification for all posts requires a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
Note: Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification as on 1st January 2021 will not be eligible and need not apply.
For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only:
Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests. However, the candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) are eligible for all other posts in CAPFs.

Note:
- The relaxation in physical standards (height/ chest) once granted at the time of initial appointment in Delhi Police will hold good till the individual concerned remains in Delhi Police.
- Those candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Standards, i.e. height and chest, may prefer an appeal, if they so desire, to the appellate authority present on the PET/ PST ground. The decision of the appellate authority will be final and no further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained.
- Physical Endurance Test will not carry any marks but will be of qualifying/ elimination nature.
- Ex-Servicemen applying for the posts are not required to undergo Physical Endurance Test. However, all Ex-Servicemen are required to pass the written test and fulfil the physical standards prescribed for direct recruits for the recruitment of Sub Inspector/ Assistant Sub-Inspector, as the case may be. They should also pass the medical standards prescribed for direct recruits.
- The candidature of female candidates who are pregnant at the time of Physical Endurance Test will be rejected as they cannot undergo PET. No appeal/ representation will be entertained against such rejection.

Stage -1 Written Exam
The written exam comprises Paper-1 and Paper-2. The candidate needs to qualify Paper-1 first, only then the candidate will be eligible for attempting Paper 2. The candidates should appear in the PET/PST exam before attempting Paper 2.

Stage -2 PET/PST Exam
The candidates who qualify the Paper -1, become eligible for the next stage of the exam, i.e. the Physical Endurance Test (Physical Endurance Test)/PST or the Medical test. Thereafter, the candidates also need to write the Paper-2 of the written exam which after qualifying they are selected.
Note – The evaluation of the Paper-2 of the written exam is done only for those candidates who qualify the PET/PST and the Medical test.
Stage-3 Personality Test
The candidates who successfully clear the Paper-2 are called for the Personality Test. The Personality test carries a total of 100 marks. Its marks are added to the candidate’s final score in the exam. The final marks of the candidate are the aggregate marks scored by the candidate in the Paper-1, Paper-2, and the Personality test.
Stage-4 Medical Exam
Candidates who qualify the Physical interview Test (PET) exam are required to appear in the CAPF Medical officer for Medical examination.
The final merit list of the successful candidates is prepared based on their score in the Paper-1, Paper-2 and the personality test of the candidate.
